Default "A" FORD Rarity to look for...do you have one?...

Contained in the January 1928 issue of Ford Dealer and Service Field was an advertisement telling about a 3-record set that Ford Dealers could order for training their salesmen to use at homes and gatherings in explaing the NEW Ford.

It was "prepared" by the Ford Motor Company BUT was "produced" by The Individaul Recording Company fo Cincinati, Ohio.

The box that the three records were containd in said "All About The New Ford" or something to that effect.

Have you ever seen or know of this rarity of Model A Ford advertising items? Do you even have a set?

Very interesting.

I have collected 78 records since the 1960s and I would be very surprised if anything like this is still extant, unless it would be buried somewhere in the Company's own archives.

Some one had a set for sale a few years ago. Maybe MAFCA, MARC or MAFFI have a set.

Well, if someone has a set it would be great if:

1. They could send them to a studio type company to play once and record the output for us all to enjoy
2. They would donate them to the Model A Museum in Gilmore, MI.

Maybe not an audio recording but I stumbled on the link below. It is an early Ford promotional silent film all about "The New Ford of 1928". There are some very interesting parts showing the early multi-disk clutch, left hand parking brake, powerhouse generator, etc. of the early design. Click on the link below or cut and paste into your browser to view.

hardly on topic, but here is a YouTube posting of a private Victor 78 of "In My Merry Oldsmobile" played by the Jean Goldkette Orchestra, recorded for General Motors and distributed at the 1927 Detroit Auto Show: http://youtu.be/XWdHnR8shQY
