Default Rear Shocks

Anybody put modern shocks on the rear axel? I know they sell kits to do that, but has anyone done it on their own. Also, which kits work good and what doesn't?

I bought this kit for a 1930 coupe. I made new lower clamp on the axle lower mounts for the front to make it all bolt on kit, no front axle drilling and the front shock is now half way down to give full travel on the shock. From mikes, open in a new tab.https://www.mikes-afordable.com/product/A18014MOD.html. . front shock brackets I made. . ..rear shocks in place. I don't have a picture of the front yet but the ride is better. . .

I also have the Ken Davis shocks on all four wheels. I am very happy with them. Check his website. I'm pretty sure he will sell just the rears.
