Default 1940 front stabilizer/sway bar

Anyone expierienced on installing the large the large rubber bushings to the bar itself? I've tried different methods with no success! Help needed, please.

Warm them up in hot water, use a small amount of liquid dish washing detergent on the bar and brute force.

I've also had good luck using Syl-Glide silicone grease on them.
