Re: ford 1950 idler steering arm, need help
Remove bracket from frame.
Take note of the relationship (in and out) of the 3355 idler arm to the 3356 nuts. Remove the 3351 Bracket/nut assy. from idler arm by rotating clockwise (left hand thread). Remove the 3355 idler arm from remaining nut the same way. Remove and replace both 3356 nuts (normal rotation). Re-assemble keeping in mind the original location of the noted components.

Re: ford 1950 idler steering arm, need help
Oh Oh - I removed the link bracket while attempting to clean the 1/2" grease covering everything but I didn't take note of the relationship in/out i.e. number of turns of the idler. What possible damage/difficulty am I in for? Somehow it didn't seem to matter...what am I missing?

The arm should be within appox. one revolution of bottoming out when the wheels are fully turned left and right.
