Default Rear Fender Reinforcement.

Does anyone know where I can get a pair of 30-31 Sedan "Lower Running Board to Fender Reinforcements" Part #A-16165-B (according to Smith & Jones catalog)? Located in front of the rear tires on bottom edge of fenders.

As shown in pictures mine are rusted.

I called Bert's but they said it is spot welded to the fender and N/A separate. I don't need the whole fender, just this part.

Thanks,

I used to get them from Brookville
Of late, I’ve made my own but reluctant to sell as a ”part”
I usually install them on what’s in the house needing them

the coupe and pick up fenders use the same lower reinforcement. I save them off junk fenders.

Here is a shot of the right side reinforcement. Not a rusted as the left. If I can't locate a pair I will attempt to remove this one and copy it. The carriage bolts look like they are going to want to turn...

Will Cronkrite was the one that was making the authentic looking ones. He may still have some listed on his eBay site. He does not come around here much anymore but you can probably contact him thru his book's webpage ( https://nascarredneck.com/ ).

Super fast response from Will Cronkrite.

I'm sorry, but I have sold all my Model A parts and fixtures.

Regards, Will

The search continues. This seems like it is a part that would receive lots of abuse from spray from the rear wheels.

Thanks, John. Got the fender reinforcements installed and looking pretty. Now they make the rest of the underside of my rear fenders look bad.
