Bumper Clamps
Good Evening,
I need to purchase a full set of bumper clamps for my '30 coupe. (New bumpers will come later when the budget permits.) Does anyone have a recommendation or opinion on solid stainless steel versus stainless clad? Any advice on a supplier? Thanks, Mike |

Re: Bumper Clamps
Mike, It depends I guess, how authentic you want your coupe to be. The early '30 Fords still used the chrome plated, forged type clamps, similar to the late '28 and the '29's,but later that year, ford switched to the stainless steel covers over the clamp. Some of the covered type were chrome plated brass also, but they used the crimped on type 'till the end of production with the little blue insert areas as I'm sure you're familiar with. All clamping hardware, the backing bracket, lock washer and nut were black enamel. Try A& L Parts. Best regards, Pete.
