Default 40 Emergency Brake Cable

I am trying to assemble the parking brake cables on my car. I have all the parts except a bracket that holds the end of the front cable. The bracket is part #91A-2270. Could anyone please tell me where this bracket is installed?

If I remember correctly, it is attached to the bracket where the front of the wishbones come together and connect to the torque tube. The single, larger hole is where the brake pull cable terminates.

Hi,

The bracket slips over the outside of the torque tube radius rods with the front bolt slipped through to hold it and the rods in place.

The pictures are from my 32 which has a 40 rear end.

I now have the bracket 91A-2270 so I can proceed installing the parking brake cable.

Can anyone guide me to a photo showing the routing of the cable from the firewall to this bracket? Any photos showing the location where the cable guide brackets attach on the radius rods.

Once I take the bolt out of the radius rods will any downward pressure be on the ends?
Car is jacked up with stands under the axle tubes.

Hope all of you reading this post have a Happy New Year!

With the weight of the car on the spring, which is mounted BEHIND the axle, any tendency (very little) for the rods to move would be in an UPWARD direction. But that is almost an impossibility, because with the torque tube still bolted to the trans, the rear axle (to which the radius rods are effectively bolted) is not able to rotate at all, in either an UP...or DOWN direction. homeboy,

Here is a picture showing the clips and rubber bushings. The brackets bolt to the inside of the torque tubes.

Happy New Year!

Does anybody have an extra parking brake bracket, #91A-2270 they'd like to sell?
