where are the main besring nuts on a madel a engine?

Try looking at the other end of the bolts. Sorry, that may have sounded like smart ass answer but it was not intended that way. The two front bearing bolts pass through the block and the nuts are shown in the first picture. The nut for the left side of the center main bearing is visible on the outside as shown in the second picture. The nut on the right side of the center bearing is hidden behind the side cover (see empty hole for the bolt to come through in third picture). The rear main uses studs and the bolts go on the end of the studs.
