I'm sure Charlie ny can fix you up with a high quality kit, or send you in the right direction. He is on this site.

The key to a good kit is having a leather accel pump and a proper power valve that seals correctly. The rubber accel pumps don't last as long even if the kit says it's alcohol complient.

Charlie's info is below.

I use Kens Carburetors.
1-203-260-5945.
He has ethanol proof power valves and fuel pump diaphragms.

Ditto for Kens Carburetors aka ken ct. - He's getting out of the hobby and liquidating his inventory of parts. His email is: [email protected]

His carb and pump kits are bulletproof....

I don't usually get involved with these types of discussions which tend to become negative and unproductive for our hobby. But I thought I should chime in on Ken's behalf because a few years ago I sent him a carb and it came back in excellent condition and I was very pleased with the quality and my car purred like a kitten with that carb. I saw no signs of "silver paint" or shoddy workmanship. Later I sent him a fuel pump and, it too, came back in excellent condition. I was very pleased with Ken's work.
I recently got a rebuilt carb from CharlieNY and, it too, is of the utmost quality and works perfectly.
I think both these fellows are true craftsmen and would recommend either of them. Doug.

Spoke to Ken and he's got a rebuild kit on the way. I'll rebuild when I get it

I really don't have a lot of time in my life for negative BS. Too much time is wasted with all that.

Thx

I rebuilt the carb today. I was surprised that I didn't have any left over parts !! That's a good thing !

When I started it up....there was no black soot coming from the tail pipe ! Which one of the parts that I installed would have corrected this ? It also idles a lot better than before.

Thx.....Mike

Power valve I spec, leaking gas (not sealing or ruptured) or vacuum (in power valve chamber due to bad gasket around throttle body) or needle valve not shutting completely.
That's the most obvious ones.
Glad you got it sorted.
Martin.

As Charlie NY has said, the '94s tend to have issues if the throttle shaft has too much wear between the base and shaft. Charlie fixes hem with an oversize shaft. he has done two for me so far.
