Default Pasadena High School Model A Club - Update 2 of 2

OK, here is the latestest, our engine is going back together; the babit looks good and has little wear, the tolerances are respectable; the engine has been worked on recently, the builder used adjustable valve lifters and machined the rear main with a one peace chevy seal. Timing gear looks fresh, the thrust bearing looks good; these things are likely to be whey it ran nicely before our kids broke it down.
Paint shop said they will return it to us at the end of this week, and we will begin to reassemble the car.

You still have time to purchase your raffle ticket by making your donation to:PHSMAFC , 1968 Lake Ave, Suite 101, Altadena CA. 91001; kindly include a stamped self addressed envelope along with your address and phone number so you can be contacted with your winning, add your email address please. One raffle entry per $100 donation.

Note winner need not be present for the drawing to be held on April 20th at our concert in the Pasadena High School Auditorium, where as last year we have Las Vegas quality entertainment. For those of you able to attend this event ticket information will be sent to you with your raffle ticket.

The concert proceeds is going to be donated to the School which is separate from the donations for the car raffle needed for the support of our Pasadena High School Model A Ford Club.

Can you post some photos of the rear main block and cap prep for the one piece Chevy seal and also a photo of the Chevy seal?
What seal is used in the rear main.
Thanks

Sorry folks, I did not have pics of the rear seal you asked for, so I just put a few pics of the kids working on the engine.

Note,,, your support is appreciated, hope to see some of you at the Pancake Breakfast on Sunday at Hart Park in Orange. John

PS I found a pic that shows the area you were asking about, but does not show it with the rear main cap removed so you can see the seal. Sorry again.

This is so good. Your getting the students interested and that's what it's all about. I was lucky and had a Auto Body teacher that got me interested. 45 years later I'm still at it. Here's our project from High School. Thank you for taking on this program. Your time is appreciated."Feed a man a fish and he eats once. Teach a man to fish and he'll eat for the rest of his life"
Thank You. The Old Tinbasher
