On February 21, we visited member Chris Koch's private Museum. Of special interest, to us, were two of Edsel Ford's personal custom cars. It is too bad that Henry did not like Edsel's ideas and styling.
One is a 1934 Custom Club Cabriolet, which Chris Koch discovered, then had it fully restored. It has a 1935 grill fit to the fenders and has a 1934 hood with 1935 louvers stamped into the side panels. It is the ONLY FORD that has been determined by the Classic Car Club of America, to be a certified "Classic Car".
The next is a 1935 two door phaeton. It has 1934 headlights and Firestone Baloon tires and special Firestone hubcaps.
There is also a mint 1950 Ford Stationwagon, along with about a dozen other restored various makes of cars.
His museum has over 1,000 period signs, a Barber Shop Museum with over 400 Occupational Shaving Mugs, a Greyhound Bus Museum, a Soft Drink Museum along with hundreds of other pieces of automotive memoribelia.
Three clubs were invited, with about 100 people attending.
