Default Where do you attach the Fordomatic dip stick tube bracket?

I haven’t been able to find where you attach the bracket that supports the Fordomatic dip stick tube.

And while I’m at it, I noticed the stick did not go all the way to the end of the tube so I assume the fluid rises up into the tube where the dip stick will show the level?

On my '55 there are 3 bolts holding the starter to the bell-housing. The 'middle' bolt, closest to the exhaust pipe, has the support bracket for the Fordomatic dipstick tube housing and also a support bracket for the lower end of the road draft tube fastened to it.
Yes, the fluid rises up into the tube.

dmsfrr is correct. It may be necessary to loosen the tube mounting fitting at the fluid pan so that you can rotate the dipstick tube to the proper angle to get the bracket to fit on the starter bolt hole. IT IS IMPORTANT to have that bracket precisely because the angle of the dipstick tube determines the proper fluid level in the transmission.
