Default CAD Model of Model A Engine

Hi Guys,

Thought I'd share what I have been working on. This started out as a way to model some accessories I've been thinking about and I got a little carried away. I got to a point where I decided to just model the whole engine. These are renderings of the CAD model I have created. Dimensionally, it is fairly accurate. It is Modeled in Solidworks.

Really awesome. Top picture -There appears to be a random piece of fan belt coming off the bottom of the fan pulley going over the to side of the motor. Reminds me of M.C Escher prints. The piece routes in front of the fan belt, but looks like it is going to the side of the motor.

What you're seeing is the fan blade.

Very nice. Even the "reflections" seem spot on.

I've thought about that. Some of the detail would need to be taken out though. What scale would you be interested in?

I would be interested in scale of 1/5, I would like to machine a scale model a engine.
Thanks Brian

Damn, that is impressive. I wanted to do the same thing but it's a bit above my abilities. Does the inside look as good as the outside? Also how many parts in the assembly?

This kinds stuff blows my mind!!!! I am a contractor and started drafting blueprints when I was in my early teens many years ago. I tried cad programs when they first started to gain popularity and couldn't get a straight line! Theres a free program that a lot of people use to draw (cant remember the name now), I downloaded that and tried and failed. I am strickly a pencil and paper kinda guy.
If you dont mind me asking, what is your profession? I would surmise graphic artist?
