Default Slant window puzzle

Ok guys I rarely get stumped but i am am now and I need your help.
How in the hell do you get the front door windows in with the felt and regulator? Now the problem may lie in parts, I have new glass from Bratton's new felt and lower channel ( the channel sucks) I can get the glass and regulator hooked up without the felt but no way can I get the glass in if the felt is installed.
If anyone would like to call me my cell is 973-725-5369
Thanks in advance and have a great 4th

Go to www.ocmafc.org. It will pull up a web site. On the menu at left click on tech articles. There is an article on installing door windows on a Victoria, which is similar to slant window sedans. Go to "Tom Endy's topics" the article is titled "window channeling".

Hi, this winter I restored my slant town sedan. Had the same problem, I believe the new felt window channels are thicker than the originals.
What I had to do to ALL 6 side window glass was to trim 1/8" off one side to fit them (done by a local glass shop).
They roll up and down smoothly don't rattle and don"t leak and no wind noise.

And the solution was....... have a local glass shop trim 3/16 off one side and they fit great. Walt Bratton said he will credit me the charge of the glass shop, like 22.00

Like I mentioned on the phone, if you trimmed the width to the measurement I gave you, pull the top of the felt channels out at an angle. Slide the glass into the felts while tilting in slightly. Push down then inward. Once down inside the door flex the felts back to vertical and pull up and hook the tops. I did this the day you first posted so it's very recent.
