Default Interesting ad from 1967

Found this ad in the "FORD PARTS FOR SALE" section of a magazine from 1967, it reads as follows;

"MIGHTY MOE" -1948 Ford flathead. Bore- 3 9/16, stroke- 4 3/4, 180 degree steel crank. 435 lift steel cam. Big valves, ported and relieved block. Original cost to build, $2600.00. Price $800.00. Paul Ghost, 717 East Main St. Morristown, Tenn. 37814 Ph. 586-5001.

I tried to call about it but the number was disconnected!

379". That has to be based on a 337 Lincoln or truck engine.

Very cool! Morristown is near me. I "googled" him and found this. Let me first say that I DESPISE topix, but this is too good not to pass along. It HAS to be the same guy. If it is, I'd bet his daughter would like to have that article.

And here's another cool site about him:

I agree. Since that engine was available in '48 Ford trucks (Big Jobs) it could be called a '48 Ford. The bore and stroke could physically be achieved in a 337 but not in a 239.
