Top Padding
I am putting a new top on a 31 coupe. I have some thin foam material that came from the gaslight parts store. I can't decide to use it or the cotton underlayment that the other dealers sell. I have also been told that a thin blanket like the cheap ones sold at walmart will work good.
How about some input! I want the best results with no regrets. Thanks, Jim in S.C. |

Re: Top Padding
I would only use the cotton. Faom a lot of times is too puffy and doesn't look good. Foam also will break down in time, then you'll have a mess.

My wife would tell you to use a product called "Warm & Natural" available at most any fabric store. That's what she uses in the quilts she makes.

i use the bubble insulation you can get at Lowes, hoping that it will help keep the top of my head cooler.
