looks like a packard coupe at the curb, 29ish, 35-6 coupe across the street, interesting winter top on the touring next to it, very few of those things have survived. looks like another 35-6 across the street, i'm done

I remember Chester Morris (Boston Blackie)
Also the movie that is playing (Cock of the Air, released Jan. 23, 1932) listed on the Marquee.

Thanks for that tidbit of knowledge. I wondered what the movie was also. I always liked angular parking. Easy in. Easy out.

How about that parking? Just an onbservation, I don't see any "rat rods"? Neat photo.

"Rat rods" did exist in the back then. This was my fathers high school daily driver during WW2, pieced together from whatever he could get free. Pix was taken after he entered the Navy and sold the car to his brother.

We still have the angled parking, but much more crowded now. Photo of this week in front of the post office.

Digger, can you take a photo now from the same location and angle as the vintage photo you posted? That'd be a neat comparison.

It looks like all of the old buildings have been replaced. At least on the far side of the street. Great photos !

Love shots like that, I collect postcards that are street scene photos and have larger re prints of old (20s-30's) pics framed around the house.
