Question Torque tube problem

I removed the rear end from 1929 Tudor to replace gasket that was leaking. Now when trying to put back together the torque tube comes within 1/2 inch of going in. What am I doing wrong? The car has a Mitchell overdrive. Any thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks DOn

This is not the section to ask car questions, ask on the Model A forum page. This section is for questions about the site and its use.
