Paul you didn't mention removing both wires from the generator as DD says below:

"With your BATTERY disconnect turned-OFF, can you disconnect BOTH wires from the generator? That should be the smaller FIELD wire on the side, and the larger ARMATURE wire at the rear. CAREFULLY BEND BOTH WIRES so that they will NOT touch anything nearby.

Now, turn your BATTERY disconnect switch back to ON.

Now, is the engine ATTEMPTING to TURN-OVER by itself? IF YES, turn your BATTERY disconnect OFF!

So, did ANYTHING happen?

DD"

On the original thread it was determined that the starter solenoid was shorted. Installed a new one today and it turns over normally. Hooray.

It won't start, I may have "fried" the electronic module.
The journey continues. Again THANKS to everyone that helped.

Well hey, Paul! Certainly glad to hear that we got your "motoring gen" under control.

As for your NO START situation, what kind of module are you speaking of? What type of distributor are you running? Just understand that I don't do MODULES. Keep us informed with your progress, though. Below is a link to your original thread. DD

You're more than welcome. I knew that by getting YOU slowed-down, and with doing ONE methodical test at a time, that WE could get it figured-out. Ya done GOOD! DD
