Question Do these front drum/hubs have a center "hub cap" to keep dirt out of the grease?

Do these front drum/hubs have a center "hub cap" to keep dirt out of the grease? And if so, tap in or screw in? Think 39 up Lincoln drum/hub?

They should. Those hubs use the tap in type

You MUST install dust caps or calamity will ensue. Check the inner hub for threads and you'll know for certain what type of cap you need.

There never were caps fitted to the rear axle (drums).

I would bet you can find what you need on the "HELP!" rack at your FLAPS.

the first installation of press in caps can need some force, just pounding on the dome of the cap will dent it, a piece of pipe that rests against the ridge will help it seat square and without damage, ( i have a piece of exhaust pipe that has the 2 inner diameters that i need, hit it with large dead blow plastic hammer)

But there is a seal that goes under the nut/washer on the rear axle that sure will keep the grease from getting in your hubcap! Part number B-1183.

That drum actually appears to be a '42-'48 FORD drum/hub. DD
