3.54 gears in a30 ford 4 door

changing the gears in the 30 a rear end 3.96 came out putting in 3.54 the gear is bigger on the 3.54 what has to be done on the rear end house to get the gears to work thanks Mike

The standard rear end ratio for a 1930 is 3.78:1, not 3.96:1. Do you have a stock Model A rear axle? If not, then Model A ring and pinion won't fit.

I've never heard of a 3.96 ratio in an A,but it doesn't matter,the 3.54 just bolts in.No modifications needed.I have them in 3 cars.

it might be 4.11 not sure 9:37 gear count came out went to put it in and the gear is hitting the stop were the bearing race sits

9:37= 4.11, 9:34=3.78, 11:39= 3.54

The ring gear should be the same size
