‘30 Tudor Cowl to Chassis Mounts
Hello all. As I go through the list of things to sort out on my ‘30 Tudor, one such item is the body mounting and alignment. The prior owner had the car “restored” by a shop and they apparently neglected this step. The difficult part of that the cowl mounting points are non-existent and need to be fabricated. This would’ve been far easier before they laid down the gorgeous rock moss green paint job. The hood and door misalignment are also doing a number on the paint. So my question here is to find out whether others have dealt with a similar issue. Also, if someone could send a photo of what these mounts are supposed to look like, it would be much appreciated. I’ve got a couple of ideas but none are optimal.

Bob - it looks to me like there is a piece of the cowl sheet metal missing. Both sides are similar except that the passengers side has a piece of angle iron there as a half-a$$ed replacement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
