Default 32 door latch: Repair or replace?

My 32 Tudor's driver side door latch has the expected slop and wear although it functions OK.

Are these rebuildable? Or would the repro UP coupe piece work? It appears that all the slop is in the triangular piece that the shaft fits in?

Thanks!

The latch and remote sections of the '32 standard/sport coupe door latch assembly (at the top of the first photo below) and that for the Tudor sedan (at the bottom of the second photo below) are the same except for a nearly 4" longer link between the two in the case of the Tudor assembly. So, yes, the U/P replacement for the standard/sport coupe latch assembly would work by lengthening the link by 3 25/32".

I've used the United Pacific latch and it's a well built part that fit's and works good.

Thanks, guys! As always, spot on advice. I have the UP window regulators and they're top shelf. Their latch mechanisms are quite pricey; have to wait for a sale somewhere.

Those are quite rebuildable. Usually run $85-110 each depending on what has to be repaired. Beats $200 each!

If it is just the remote (triangular piece) it could be much less!

Speedway is also making them but I'd stick with UP.
