32 Tudor Sedan Glass Install??

After it taking five months to get correct glass for my sedan from Vintage Glass, Lawrenceville, GA, I've started the dreaded install.

I've spent hours reading everything on here. Thanks to all who submitted, especially DAVIDG's very detailed instructions. However, I have a question that I couldn't find or overlooked the answer to.


I have everything sorted out, I think, but one piece has me stuck. The shorter felt channel that goes on the rear of the rear quarter window has no clips nor are there any holes or other mounts other than the short metal channel near the bottom. HOW DOES THIS ATTACH SECURELY MIDWAY AND TOP? Cement, tacks, screws??


It's a Drake kit, but nothing's labeled, and no instructions (of course)

After the hell just getting glass, I am trying to reduce the stress of installing it.
And yes I did try locally, and they failed the test on the windshield!

AVOID VINTAGE GLASS, LAWRENCEVILLE, GA!!!

Tacks originally, but I would be tempted to use contact cement.

BTW, the largest felt channel? Does it go in the front of the door glass? Or the rear in the removable channel? Angle cut at the top????

Got one done this afternoon, after several trial and error runs. Managed to break off one little clip.

Thanks for all the help.

I did find it a BIG help to pull the screws that attach the rear inner panel and spring it out at the top. So much easier with some more room, and visibility.

Who sells the best regulator rebuild kits? Or are they all the same? One rear one is stripped!
