spark plug connector pictures
I am never going to show this car so I should have bought the first years series of plug connectors instead of the offset ones for my '31. But since I have a '31 this is what I ordered and I don't know why or which orientation the offset goes, the early ones were a no brainer, straight. I know it does not matter if not shown I guess but if I am to install them I guess I would like to do them correctly. Must be some reason Ford changed to this.

Re: spark plug connector pictures
I never thought about that. I'm so anal I'm going to have to go out and check now!
I heard Ford cut them that way to cut costs, less scrap. |

If the cross fire happens to you, it can take finding unless you are aware. I'd rather prevent it happening.

Re: spark plug connector pictures
So the reason for the change in 1930 was to eliminate cross firing between the connectors?

Re: spark plug connector pictures
If the later ones are longer, that may be the reason. When I lengthen them, I add about 10 mm (3/8")

Re: spark plug connector pictures
I would wager they never had a thought about the direction of the offset at the factory especially close to shift change!
