Wiper Motor Mtg. Hardware needed....
Hello,
I have my '36 Ford pickup and need the Vacuum Wiper Motor Mtg. Hardware. I had the Vacuum Wiper Motor rebuilt by Ficken Wiper Service. Ficken Wiper Service did an excellent rebuild job. Now I want to install into my '36 Ford Pickup. I am trying to locate the required Mtg. Hardware. Does anyone know where I can locate the required Mtg. Hardware. Thank you, Bruce in California |

Re: Wiper Motor Mtg. Hardware needed....
To answer your question --- the wiper is installed through the hole above the windshield. There is a special chrome washer (different than 1936 passenger vehicles) and then a nut. That is all that holds the wiper mechanism in. The rubber hose used for the vacuum that is needed to work the wiper runs down the drivers side A pillar (post) and under the dash and then through the wiring loom hole and to the intake manifold.
The special washer is hard to find. You may have to run a classifed wanted ad. |

I'm sure you meant to mention the rubber washer encased in the special washer that served to seal the opening in the hole in the body roof. |

There is another major component that you will need to properly mount you wiper motor in your truck. You will need an internal spacer (50-811224) that goes between your wiper motor body and the inside og the cab roof. See images below.
