I know this may sound stupid, but I need to replace a bulb on my 1935 Ford .

I opened the latch on the bottom and I have not been able to remove the lens. Do I have to turn it? Or better said rotate the lens or is it just stuck?

I have tried to do both with and no luck.

Any helpful hints would be appreciated.

If it's anything like my '36,it just unlatches and swings up.Be careful that the lens doesn't fall to the floor.The ring holds the lens in.

Use putty knife or similar tool to separate the headlight door from the headlight body. Tap gently, bottom side. Probably just stuck from gasket etc. have a helper to hold lens and door while you tap. Piece of cake.

The lens AND the bezel, should lift straight up, after you loosen the latch. Like others have said, be careful to protect the lens. It is supposed to be fixed to the bezel, but sometimes the wire fasteners do rust away.

The bucket has a tiny lip on each side and the lens ring snaps over it.Do like Lawson says and pop it with a putty knife.
