Default 56 T-Bird Portholes

Can any tell me who might have made hinged portholes for the Baby Birds? There doesn't seem to be any markings on the glass. I do know the car was destined for overseas when built. Maybe made there?
Thanks-Bernie

That's a new one on me - never heard of hinged portholes on a baby bird.

That is the general response that I get everywhere. I just wonder who and where it came from? My Bird also has very different fender skirts. Has 4 slots cut through, with chrone hash bars (similar to the ones on the front fenders) to simulate louvers. Also the stone geard and moulding appears to be Aluminum. I suspect european because tiny brass nuts and studs hold the hash bars on. Like Jaguar Bently, and my prefect etc. used.

Sounds like some one has modified the car. No Tbirds were made outside the US except in Mexico, and these basically were kits supplied by Ford to Mexico.

Yes, I suspeced it has been modified. But I wondered if anyone knew who might have made the kit. It seems well built, with tight hardware. They must have made more than one.

I will tahe pictures in the spring if I can remember that long. The car is in storage now.

Thanks

I didn't mean the Bird was built out of the US. I meant the Portholes. I have the original Build Sheet for the car. An extra letter on the ID plate on the firewall, suggests it was destined for shipping out of US.
