Waterpump
Has any body used the leak less brass bushing from Macs on their old waterpump? Did it stop the pump from leaking?

Re: Waterpump
Before you think about this bushing. How is the rest of your water pump?
What does you water pumps end travel look like. If your going to remove pump, and rebuild. Maybe a new leakless pump would be better in the long run. We installed one on our 29, after 30 years no leaks, no problems. More important, no overheating issues. Enjoy. |

Re: Waterpump
My pump is a restored all stock pump and hasn't leaked a drop in over 10 years. Be sure to add grease to the two lead rings in the adjustment cap on the rear bushing.
I did buy the double lip seal rear bushing from Snyder's a couple years ago and installed that in my pump, just to help ensure the grease and antifreeze stay separated. This is a perfect leakless pump for very little expense. |

Re: Waterpump
We are using the seal/bushing kit (from Snyder's) at the rear and stock bearing at the front. But no leak less setup will be leak less if you re use the old worn pitted shaft.
