Branson, 36 3-W, & 33 Ply

A 'query' for anyone here that is in the Branson area... I saw this Plymouth near the road, and stopped to look. Then, a short walk up a path near the Plymouth, there is a 35-36 3-W coupe body. Does anyone here know anything about these cars? It seems to me that there ought to be some one of us 'Ford-nuts' that would like to save the 3-W coupe???
Can anyone identify the Plymouth? It puzzles me that it has wood wheels. Anyone here recognize the year/model???

Looks like a 33 or 34. Wooden wheels were optional on all Mopars around that time.

According to a Plymouth Master Parts List for all models prior to 1934 Final Edition book issued April 1 , 1934 Model PC & Model PD {Deluxe} Were the only domestic choices in 1933 . Model's PCX & PDX were smaller engined and for export only . Model PC was used 1932 & 1933 . Anyway the car is a 1933 PD and my 1933 PC has 17" riveted spoke wheels . As stated in a post above there are part #'s for 3.25x17 wood spoke wheels for models PC & PD so it is possible they are right ?? The PC model is much plainer - painted grille,windshield frame,headlights etc. David J PS we did a little drag match a few years back with the 33 Plymouth and a tired bone stock 34 4d and da FORD wazza grinnin afta

Thanks for the info. I learn something every day. This particular Plymouth has 'bright' (chrome??) windshield frame, grille, headlight stands, and headlights. It has a very nice dash & instrument cluster, with the odometer reading 66847.0. The car is nearly complete, with probably original engine, trans, etc. I assume it's NOT a PC, based on the above post from David J. Thanks again..

Here is a view, as seen from the street. At the east end of town, It is south on 165 from Main St. The 35-36 Ford 3-W coupe body is off to the left, in the bushes, not visible from the street.

The WPC news from Feb 78 is ALL 33 ply info . Here's some pics from it . That's Elanor Roosevelt in the PD convert . The car with wood wheels is a PC . If your into 33 plymouths this book is a must have !!!!! David J
