any workshop manuals available for my '41 PU
Finally getting to the point of starting to sort out the '41 PU I purchased last year. My truck was restored and then stored since the early 90's. I purchased it from the son of the father that owed the truck and he wasn't aware of what all was done during the restoration. I've got it running and driveable, but I need to go over all of the basics. The support here is great and I use the search function quite a bit. I've finally have time to start going over the truck and look forward to getting it depedable and enjoy it.
I was wondering if there are any workshop manuals available for a good reference? Thanks in advance, Randy |

Watch the "For Sale" section here or better yet place a "wanted add" there, you never know what might turn up. I found a factory repair manual for my 45 truck there.

You could start by buying the '40-'41 ford pickup book put out by the Early Ford V-8 Club. It's only $10 but will give you a lot of information on the differences between the two pickups. You can buy it here; www.earlyfordv8.org.

If its a 1/2T (Ford called them a Commercial Car) the running gear and systems are basically the same as the cars.

Re: any workshop manuals available for my '41 PU
I used the 1939-48 Ford and Mercury Shop Manual - Passenger Cars and Trucks which is a reprint of the Canadian repair manual from Cranken Hope Publishing - no longer in business. The title of this manual on EBay looks similar and has the same number of pages that the Canadian manual does. https://www.ebay.com/p/Shop-Manual-S...ProductDetails It might be worth looking into it as a repair source. I got a lot of good info from the Canadian Manual when I rebuilt the tonner.
