Tom,

As you may remember, I had the same surgery in 2005.
I have a seven inch scar on my left arm where they removed a vein to replace one of my clogged arteries. That scar is a daily reminder of how fortunate I was to have that surgery. Nowadays they snip the vein on both ends and pull the vein out one side leaving no long scar. Fortunately, you will remain as handsome as ever.

Be sure to do the breathing exercises, religiously to get your breathing back to 100%.

It will take a while, but you will be fine.

We need and appreciate all you do for our hobby.

Best regards, Neil

IMO, Tom's posts are worth not only reading but paying attention to. I look forward to him posting again but in the mean time, he will be missed. Get well again soon, Tom.
From the little I know of the American health system, that would have been a very expensive surgery. Hope your insurance is up to it. You can do without that extra worry. I've even seen cars advertised for sale to pay health bills over there

There are many helpful people here on the Fordbarn, but Tom is a real standout. He is incredibly helpful and welcoming, even to a stupid newbie like me.

Tom, I wish you a speedy recovery!

Wishing you a speedy and complete recovery, Tom!! Hang in there!

As a relative newcomer to Model-A-dom, I highly value Tom's input on this forum and elsewhere, and have saved a few of his articles when I have come across them, for future reference. (At Tom's request, I have even contributed to his collection of rear spring potential horror story photographs, one of his hobby horses! Despite my embarrassment, I was happy to do this for the collective good.)

The guy is GOLD!

I've never met Tom, nor had any exchanges with him. But the thing that impresses me so much about him is that he never gives any "shoot from the hip" answers, but always researches and knows his subject, before putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard). He offers information on things he knows well, and it is always right. I really respect him for that.

Having had a quintuple bypass my self about 10 years ago, I'm sure Tom will be back soon with more of his invaluable advice and information. Would that we all were more like Tom Endy!

Get better soon buddy!

Good Morning all...Tom is in a Great Hospital. Both our daughters were born at Hoag one in the 70's and one in the 80's. I purchased my first Model A in Newport Beach in 64 or so. Get well, Tom. We are all pulling for you. Take the time to fully recover and then ease back into the Model A world. I'll bet you can't wait to drive your 'A' again...I am praying for you...Ernie in Arizona
