Default Ford 4 cylinder industrial engine

Some time ago I had some info on a Ford 4 cylinder industrial engine that a friend of mine has. It runs a chipper and is an OHV engine.
Can anyone shed some light on where I might get some info on this engine?
It makes me so mad that I either lost or through away this stuff thinking I wouldn't ever need it again.
Thanks for any help
Jim

Jim, Do a search for Ford industrial engine. I just looked & found your thread from 02/10/2015. All the responces are there. I don't know how to add the link or I would have included it. Bill

Strong bet that would be based on a Ford Fiesta engine. We rebuilt one that came out of
a skid steer bobcat loader.

It'd have to be pretty new to be a Fiesta engine. More likely based on the "Red Tiger" engine that came out in '53 in the "Golden Jubilee" tractor (replaced the 8N). See a New Holland dealer for a manual (if they're still in business!).

try this link
http://www.ntractorclub.com/manuals/...%20Engines.pdf

other manuals also
http://www.ntractorclub.com/forums/m...nuals.htm#misc

I buy parts for my Ford 8N from a local New Holland dealer, so you should be able to get OHV parts.

if it doesnt work pm me and I will sent the PDF manual as an attachment.

Some of those big chippers also had a 2300 CC Pinto based engine in them in the 70's.

I put one in a model A with a 39 ford transmission. Used the larger version which is a 192. Ported head and had the cam ground by race craft. Cut 15 lbs off the flywheel ane had it balanced. Runs two glass bowl holley carbs.
hardest piece to find is the bell housing.

They were 134 172 192 ci.

I used to do a lot of parts business with a local tree company. Their chippers all had 4cyl. OHV Ford engines. This was in the early 70s. These engines were the same as a Ford 801 tractor used.

Skidmarks, What did the bellhousing come off of? Or was there an aftermarket adapter? What did you do for an intake? And how did it run? Nosy minds want to know!

Do you mean these parts to adapt a 4cyl 8n engine to V8 transmission and to the front crossmember of a 1937-1940 frame.

No. Thats for a 9N motor in a 40-41 pickup. The 53 and up OHV is a completely different motor. You can see the car run at the jolopy showdown video online from last year. Car is number 134.
I made the intake and header. Bellhousings were made for ford and hard to find.
