Default What were they thinking

A couple of cars found on Craigslist not sure what the customizers were thinking or smoking.
1951 Ford Victoria and a 40's Pontiac, goes along with what you should never do to a car.

I would pay $100.00 for the Victoria, if it runs.

Not my cup of tea but I can admire the craftsmanship.

Actually, the Vic is pretty clean as far as earlier "era" customs go. '58-'60 Corvette grill teeth.

Now, that poor ol' Pontiac......total Schmuckmobile! DD

I can appreciate the 51 as that is acceptable and looks good still.. The poor Pontiac took a lot of work to make it look worse. To each their own and if the owner really liked it, it would not be for sale.

If the Pontiac would have used a a rounded dual head light, or just a raised and rounded one (along with the top of the fender to match), it would have fit the car much better...

I don't mind Customs at all, but just like them to continue, or expand on the original body lines, not make U-turns.

That is one F#%&ed up 51. Just an ugly car and an inferior engine to boot.

Of the two, the Pontiac's frontend would probably be easiest to *almost* restore to it's original condition.
