Default Distributor videos ?

All,

I just returned from the Vegas Automotive industry shows, and taught a " Hot Rod Ignition" three hours class at Planet Hollywood. This was for the AVI ( Automotive Video Inc) technician conference held during the shows each year etc.
After the class i was approached in regards to doing a Flathead Ford video featuring the 1932 to 1953 ignitions, service and rebuildingetc.
Whta do you guys think, is this something we could use and they could market and sell.????????

I think we could cover :
1-Crabs
2-Helments
3-49-53 units

If this project gets off the ground i would like some Ford Barn inputs from all concerned.

Good idea. Especially since so many folks think the 49-53 Ford distributers are junk.

It sounds like a great Idea
The more information out there means the hobbie can only get better.

I think it would be an easy sell. For those younger and new to the hobbie a video would be extremely helpful.

I would like to see set ups on a Sun Distributor Machine. I have the Sun, but no instruction manual.

Bill, I'll bet Skip or maybe Ken ct would have an instruction manual that they would copy for you. One shouldn't be too hard to come by.

Sounds like a good idea to me. If you need an extra pair of hands, I'd be glad to help. Best regards and good luck with the project!

I think that videos would be popular for anyone with original ignition. I know that I'd be interested.

Sounds like a plan, I'd like to see it. I produced six videos relating to Flathead's in general, including "how to" videos. The one you're talking about, that deals strictly with '32 to '53 distributors would be good. Here's a list of the videos we have available:

Those Fabulous Flatheads (a casual look at the Flathead's history)
"Big Daddy" Don Garlits V8 Museum Tour
6 to 12 Volt conversion
Aluminum Heads & Intake Manifold Installation
From Tops to Tires (convertible tops, etc.)
1951 Ford F-1 Build.
