No race track venue ? Would this be permanent or until the virus is fixed?

Portland Meadows, which is the old horse racing track, is where they parked cars and you caught the bus. It was sold to Amazon for a warehouse or distribution center. PIR and Expo are still in play, unless the illustrious governor continues to stop large gatherings(riots excluded).

Re: April2021 Portland, Or Swap looks OK so far
The Thursday-Friday-Saturday swap meet at PIR (Portland International Raceway, drag race strip and road race course) is a privately promoted "for profit" event, not connected at all with the official "Portland Swap Meet".
The Friday-Saturday-Sunday "Portland Swap Meet" is at the Expo Center, and is operated and mostly volunteer run by six of the Portland area antique car clubs (Model A, Model T, Early V8, AACA, Chevy, and ?) As TJ noted, the "race track parking" that is now no longer was at the old HORSE racing track. Parking is always an issue. What is close is swampy, expensive, or both. An alternative is to use the "light rail" which has easily accessible parking along I-205 from the airport to Clackamas Town Center and east of I-205 to Gresham. The OFFICIAL "Portland Swap Meet" has a monitored pick up area where you can stage purchases until you can return with your vehicle to pick them up. |
