Default A big thankyou from Woofa Express.

Thankyou to respondents for their input to my request for help.

People can be so generous for the help they provide. In this case my request for help. All good information which I was grateful to receive. Yes, with that help I was able to rectify the problem.
Thankyou again, gary

Gary, There were suggestions covering a number of things. What worked?

Hi Synchro . It was the 14mm plugs. I had never suspected them as they came from a reputable supplier. They screwed into a reducing plug. Seemed like a good idea when I ordered them.
Would you like them, they are for sale?
And cheap.
cheers, gary

I was at a parts store and requested some plugs, the clerk came back and slammed the plugs onto the counter, I said no thanks and walked out. Cracked porcelain can cause problems!

Guten Morgen Gary,

I use 14 mm spark plugs Iridium from NGK, they work perfectly.

Please tellme, which candle type and manufacturer did you have installed? What was defective about them?

Why would you not use the proper plugs?
Using a "reducing plug" should have been a big red flag.
Glad you got her running right

hi Burner 31. the answer is simple. They were inexpensive and I figured since they were sold by a reputable dealer they were a sound substitute.

Those adapters have been around a long time. Can't believe they are that bad. I have an engine somewhere I was probably given in the 70's that has them and they were not new then.
Not that l've ever used them.

I used to play around with different plugs, just putting in the 3X plugs for show and taking them out to drive home, once I got lazy drove home on them ,ran better, got better fuel mileage ,40 years later still working fine. Amortized over 40 years they are cheap.
