Interior sun visor(s) for a 1940 ford pickup

I got my covers from Carpenter and the frames

I got were orginal from a dealer on the net.

They are like hens teeth to find! I couldn't find after market ones that would work. I think 1940 thru 1947 are the same. Good luck!

There's a set currently on eB*y (7964322472) with a Buy It Now price of $39.00. Doesn't say if they're original or repop.

The visors were optional in 1940, however what I would like to get is the original hardware that went with the visor and the visor itself. Does anyone have any ideas? I know replacements exist but how well do they match with the original?

You van get the visor from Dennis Carpenter but he doesn't have the mounting hardware.

I have a 41 bussiness coupe,and I have new sun visors in it. One keeps falling down. How do you tighten it up? I thought about forceing something between the rod and the sunvisor where it goes in. Thats the only way I know of.

Those listed on ebay are pass car. Will not work on pickup. Mounting hardware different. I've been looking myself for quite awhile and have 1 that is broken so far.

I got mine from Sacramento Ford, and they are repros, but are very nice.
