Default Part Nos. - Grease Retainers

I'm sorting thru a bunch of parts and I came across a couple of sets of front wheel grease retainers that I need help in identifying. 48-1190-A2 and AD-1190-B. I'm pretty good at identifying stuff from the 50s up but I'm guessing these go back a little further? Thanks for any help. Brian G. NY

48-1190-A is front hub seal 35-48 car & commercial.

AD-1190-B I think is mid to late 1950's, it's not in any book up to '54. It may be a supersession number?

Thanks Brian; ' kinda thought that 48 might relate to a pre '49. I'll scratch around a little more to see if I can ID the other ones. ' course I'm hopin' somebody here may be able to do so as well. Brian G. NY

The prefix is different but one that jogged a memory for me, it is not in my Ford Canada parts book. Between 52-54 there were some unusual numbers like EBU, FAG etc that didnt seem to fit, I think they were the Ford Autolite Parts division numbers.

In 1955 Ford standardised the prefix's by using say, B5A-1180. 'B' for the 50's then the year then A for Ford, as parts changed with the years and models expanded we got C5OZ- ='65 compact. C5AZ-= 65 Galaxie, C5SZ-=T.Bird etc ...much easier to follow!
