Odometer acting up
Hi Guy's,
I have noticed my 31 Round Glass Odometer isn't fully functional. The speedometer works and the Red 10th wheel rotates just fine but it wont roll over the black numbered wheels. I've seen diagrams on the disassemble of the oval odometer mechanism, but not the round one. Is this easily fixable or does it need to be sent somewhere? Re: Odometer acting up
I also see very little information on the round speedometers, and I suspect your number wheels have at least one broken part, so I think it's best to send it out.

Re: Odometer acting up
Send it out. They require special tools and knowledge for repairs, and the guys who do it (see stickies above) are all reasonably priced.

Re: Odometer acting up
Yeah the best pictures are in Les Andrews book 1 but it doesn't really show diddly for the round lens version. I guess you guy's are right so I'll add that one to my interior hit-list. Good news, all the parts I ordered from Mac's and Snyder's shipped today except for a couple of items from Mac's. Seems the front spring and the bushings are marked as "Open Order" but in any-case, I'll have enough to do until they arrive.
I suppose I could just take a small peek, … Regards Bill |

Re: Odometer acting up
Yes it sounds like the red 1/10 wheel will need to be replaced. So if you like I can rebuild it for you. [email protected]
