Default Odometer acting up

Hi Guy's,

I have noticed my 31 Round Glass Odometer isn't fully functional. The speedometer works and the Red 10th wheel rotates just fine but it wont roll over the black numbered wheels. I've seen diagrams on the disassemble of the oval odometer mechanism, but not the round one.

Is this easily fixable or does it need to be sent somewhere?

Regards
Bill

I also see very little information on the round speedometers, and I suspect your number wheels have at least one broken part, so I think it's best to send it out.

Send it out. They require special tools and knowledge for repairs, and the guys who do it (see stickies above) are all reasonably priced.

Yeah the best pictures are in Les Andrews book 1 but it doesn't really show diddly for the round lens version. I guess you guy's are right so I'll add that one to my interior hit-list. Good news, all the parts I ordered from Mac's and Snyder's shipped today except for a couple of items from Mac's. Seems the front spring and the bushings are marked as "Open Order" but in any-case, I'll have enough to do until they arrive.

I suppose I could just take a small peek, …

Regards
Bill

Yes it sounds like the red 1/10 wheel will need to be replaced. So if you like I can rebuild it for you. [email protected]

Bill what is going on is on the inside the RED 1/10 wheel there is a little point that will turn the black number wheel. If that point is damaged it will not flip the wheels. Your speedometer will need to be rebuild and a new 1/10 wheel put in to it. I can do that for you. Just email me at [email protected] and I will send you the mail info and the amount. It will be a day turn around. Hope this helps. papanick.
