Default Welding Battery support to plate...

OK...Since the battery support "plate" has no holes in it to spot weld to the battery support bracket, then the bracket must have had four (4) holes on each side of the "trough" to accept the plate to be spot welded.

That being the case, would these holes then be in a straight line of each other OR were they drilled a zig-zag pattern?

Thanks.

Steve,

The plate was welded to the bracket with spot welds with a "lobster claw" welder. There are/were no holes drilled in either the plate or the bracket but a good clean original assembly will show the deformation "dots" in either piece.
