Devil's advocate here. We live in a low traffic rural area and never drive at night, so have never installed turns signals on a Model A. So, do other drivers notice a Model A? You bet!
In fact they usually look and wave, paying very close attention to what I'm doing. Often they will follow us for miles at 40 MPH just to look at our car. I don't even bother with hand signals because they are watching our car so closely. But for people who live in town or drive at night, turn signals are must.
