Default '35-'36 closed car glove box liner

ALL the major suppliers have been back ordered on this item for a year. Every month it's the same thing. Delivery expected by the first of the NEXT month.

Anybody have an old, trashed one that they took out that I can take a pattern from and build my own?
Thx,
Andy

C&G shows them in stock, it's worth a call. https://cgfordparts.com/ufolder/ford...umber=48-43000

Don't bother calling C&G. I did and they do show them as being available. They don't have
the liner for a closed car which I also need for my 35 Convertible Sedan. They just haven't
removed the listing.

Vintique was the last manufacturer of glove box liners and stopped production awhile back. You can try All Ford Parts in Campbell,CA as they might have one in stock.

... and a good reminder to not overlook the little businesses in our hobby. I recently ordered some parts from Third Generation Automotive, that I needed to rebuild a '35 top loader transmission. The sevrice was great, and they had everything I needed in stock.

Hi Everyone. I replaced the glovebox in my '36 Phaeton and am sure I kept it, now WHERE it is, I don't know. chiro, If I could find it and take some measurements and pics would that be helpful?

To change back to using Third Generation Automotive (35fordtn) as a supplier, they are the tops in my book right now. The same day JM 35 Sedan placed the order for the parts for my '35 tranny, I (like an idiot) put in an order with another supplier. I'll never do that again!

Third Gen's package arrived in two days. Mine took eight! Third Gen also acquired a part that they didn't have in ONE DAY, and mailed the same day they got it to arrive at JM's the day after Third Gen's first package.

So, if they said they had the glove box liner, I'd be on that right away! Your problem will be solved with no muss or fuss.

chiro, here's a thread about a glove box lock and has photos of the '36 Phaeton's replacement's glove box. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showt...4971&showall=1

Back to your regular programming...

Hi, the phaeton/roadster glove box is not the same as a sedan one.
I had a right hand drive sedan one that probably was the same as left hand drive, but I had to make one for my rhd phaeton, not an easy job without a sample and no one makes these for rhd cars.
You have been offered one by third gen spares, buy it, great people and good service.
Viv.
