Default Thermosat size

Hi Barners. I have aeroquip braided lines on my early flathead with an ID of about 1 1/4 inch. Is there a thermostat that I can insert into the hose that will fit this ID or one that I can cut down to fit. It seems to me I saw a thread about a Datsun 240 or 260 thermostat that would fit. I have checked the threads but have found nothing... Thanks in advance..

You might want to try the Jalopy Journal for that one .

I have this one in my tractor, I have a tie wrap on the hose around the thermostat to keep it in place.

And just how would you fit this into a 1 1/4" ID Aeroquip braided hose?

You obviously have an adapter to go from the heads to the 1 1/4" ID hose.
You probably will have more luck trying to fit a thermostat in the hose from the heads and before the adapter.
