Default tillotson carburetor stripped inlet

Has anyone repaired a stripped inlet on a tillotson carburetor?

I epoxied an appropriate brass fitting to mine when stripped. Worked fine.

Before you spend a lot of time on it, check to see if the bottom fits flat to the top and where it mounts to the intake is flat.

I have a stripped hole and was going to spend the money on a helicoil. This is just as good and a lot cheaper. Thanks very much for the tip!!

FWIW, I mis-read what was being repaired. I thought it was a manifold flange tapped hole. The gas inlet compression fitting may not have a helicoil available for the diameter and thread pitch.
