Default Pressure gauge strap

If I secure this bracket one way, there's no room to install the wires or the oil tube. If I flip around, the gear shift smashes into it.
What a I missing?

I use the same bracket for my water temp.
You want the "wings" be sweep back, your shifter should not come close to hitting the gauge, is your shifter bent?

I Use A Different Bracket That I Bought At a Swap Meet A Few Years Back. It's Chrome Holds Two Gauges And Bolts To The Sterring Column, It Works Great !!!!

If you have a round speedometer you may have a shift lever for an
oval speedometer and that is why it's hitting, see the link.

Bob
Hmm. I'll have to check that out.
A buddy of mine has the 2-gang bracket on his early 30 Tudor (oval speedo). His bracket points straight down to the floor. It doesn't angle out like mine. And even at that, he only has about 1/8" to spare before he'll hit the bracket in reverse or 2nd gear. He may also have the less angled shift lever.

Unless I change the lever, that bracket is worthless.

Thanks for all of the input.

Or you could try bending the shift lever back a little.

Well, according to my son's fancy calculator and my crude side-angle-side measurements, I have a shifter with 15.9 degrees of slope. So it appears I have a 28-29 gear shift in my 30.

Re the lever, that would be my suggestion also after bashing my fingers because and earlier shift lever was installed in a later car, they are bent different.
