It's a good thing that the title of this thread is "engine photos"; I would have hated to miss that one.

The title of this thread leaves room for improvisation..... I still love my two flathead V8 vehicles to pieces. I promise. It's a 210 cu in six, 120 hp and 240 ft lbs torque.

I understand that this car is a "foreign affair" with some un-familiar bits and pieces for many of us, but could you please expound upon those turnbuckles for this foreign model neophyte? That engine might just run a little funny with that #4 plug wire disappearing down the rear. DD

I just finished this one today, for a 46’ 1/2 ton panel truck. I’ll have another done next week for a 41’ pickup.

![]() I must say that there are some mighty nice engines throughout this thread, but our very first responder, the unpretentious Peter Martin (PeterC) and his outrageously-promiscuous '35 3-window was the clear culmination of flathead erotica out of the chute. This engine along with some of the accompanying components ain't nothin' but THE finest in seductive flathead porn. MAN she's a "looker"! DD

A sampling of the more impressive engines on display at last year's Ty-Rods show in MA. Hope it doesn't get cancelled this year like so many other early season events have.

![]() They're only covers which fit snugly around each flat head's perimeter. Set screws hold them in place. Note the plug wires entering the inner surface holes. Their original intended application was to keep splashed water off of the plugs and ignition wires on early race boats. DD
