mid-'50s upholstery
I usually see references to "ABC Upholstery" when talking mid-'50s Ford upholstery. When I google for them, I see many with that name all over the USA and in Canada. I would appreciate info on which one of them furnishes the upholstery for our cars. I've lost a vinyl cover for the buttons in the seat of my '55 Victoria and would like to find a source for a replacement.

Re: mid-'50s upholstery
I believe ABC was bought by Lebaron - Bonney. Contact them I've seen adds showing the ABC interiors sold by Lebaron-Bonney.

Re: mid-'50s upholstery
SMS doesn't make kits as far as I know but they supply a lot of the original types of fabric an vinyl that were used in the 50s & 60s. Some stuff is even embossed as some original types were in that era..

Re: mid-'50s upholstery
Hi, the Assembly Manual has diagrams on how the seats are made up, found that to be interesting, portrays buttons on seats. Thought I'd put this in since the topic came up.

Re: mid-'50s upholstery
Thanks for all the suggestions. At this point I don't want to replace the buttons if I can get the correct covers. I have inquired at LeBaron-Bonney, SMS, and Ron's Upholstery. Awaiting replies.

Re: mid-'50s upholstery
The buttons use the same material as the seat generally. There are machines and hand tools available to make up the buttons.
