Hi,
use 1/4 gal MMO to 1000 mls is a correct mixture. I use it since 3 years ago.

Re: marval mystrey oil & gas??
8 oz per 10 gallons shouldn’t have cause your issue unless your running rich. 4 oz per 10 gallons is the recommended dose

marval mystrey oil & gas??

4 oz is what I use with no issues. However, I did hear of a story (possibly on this forum) where Marvel Mystery Oil was added before adding gas to the almost empty gas tank and mostly Marvel Mystery Oil flowed into the carburetor instead of gasoline, and the car didn’t run well until real gasoline finally got to the carburetor. I think the person confirmed this by disconnecting the fuel line from the carburetor, and the fluid that leaked out was Marvel Mystery Oil red, not the color of gasoline. Yep, 4 oz per tank is the more common recommended dosage. Had a sticking/sluggish valve problem which MMO corrected effectively.

Re: marval mystrey oil & gas??
I had a valve stick on my Ford 601 tractor, it caused the pushrod to jump out of place and hold that valve open. On a tractor a little thing like that takes a lot of work-hours to repair. Since then I use MMO in it and in my A's. I'm not sure you need 4 oz. per, but it can't hurt anything.

Re: marval mystrey oil & gas??
I've heard that Marvel Mystery Oil ("MMO") will loosen up old carbon deposits and make a mess until it clears. I have not seen it personally, but I heard it from an aircraft mechanic with over 40 years of experience. Sounds like what might have happened in your case.
PS: I use MMO in all my gasoline fueled vehicles. |
