Default Fuel tank welting

I am in the process of putting my newly painted 1930 Tudor back together and looking at the welting for the fuel tank. I have 2 types, one is a dull black and the other is a very glossy black. As my car is a gloss black I am inclined to go with the glossy one as it is a good match to the car but am unaware if the composition difference could be a problem later. I definitely do not want to have to change it later because of an issue. Anyone have any experience with these
Thanks

The last I knew, the correct type of welting is out of production. Pretty much all that is available is the plastic coated ones that do not hold paint well.
Originally, the welting was a cloth based material that was installed into the body prior to the entire body being painted. Even in your scenario where the body color was Black, the welting was painted.

Thanks for your response Brent. As it turns out I only have the glossy as the other has 3/16 bead

They were the last source for this product. I would give them a call to confirm since they were out of stock recently.
