Fuel tank welting
I am in the process of putting my newly painted 1930 Tudor back together and looking at the welting for the fuel tank. I have 2 types, one is a dull black and the other is a very glossy black. As my car is a gloss black I am inclined to go with the glossy one as it is a good match to the car but am unaware if the composition difference could be a problem later. I definitely do not want to have to change it later because of an issue. Anyone have any experience with these
Thanks |

Originally, the welting was a cloth based material that was installed into the body prior to the entire body being painted. Even in your scenario where the body color was Black, the welting was painted. |

Re: Fuel tank welting
Thanks for your response Brent. As it turns out I only have the glossy as the other has 3/16 bead
